This is not a defect. It is exactly how genuine copper behaves, and it is how you know you are not using a plated, coated or mixed-metal product. Copper reacts naturally with water and air to form a thin layer called patina. Patina is simply a form of copper itself and is not harmful to your health. Within a few weeks the inside settles into an even, antique finish. To bring back the shine whenever you like, rub with lemon and salt (or vinegar and salt), rinse well and dry. If you ever notice green spots, the vessel was left wet too long; clean it the same way and let it dry fully.

Shop the Ayurvedic Copper Water Dispenser Set

Handmade in India by skilled artisans, the Kaarigar Ayurvedic Copper Water Dispenser comes in two set options. Copper will NEVER rust or corrode. So, to prevent itself from corrosion copper forms a coating by itself, which is a form of copper and hence, it not harmful to health. This is called Patina.

In a few weeks the entire inside of your vessel will develop an “antique finish” which proved that you are using pure copper. However, there is nothing to worry about and you can continue to use it as normal.

Note: Hand wash only using regular detergent. Do not use a dish washer.

Every few weeks, clean your Copper Water Dispenser Set more thoroughly. For this -

- Pour 1/2 Cup of white vinegar. Add 2 teaspoons of salt. Fill with water and leave for 30 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly and wash with detergent before use.

Shop Bulk/ Wholesale Copper Water Dispenser Sets

For Bulk/Wholesale Copper Water Bottle pricing please write to contactus@kaarigarhandicrafts.com

Disclaimer
The information on this website is not meant to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
